I had the pleasure of accompanying a sweet friend on a scouting trip to 167 Raw, the new Charleston sister to its Nantucket predecessor, and left so satisfied I remember telling friends to go THAT DAY. The guys were so attentive, though it’s not hard to be considering the four bar seats and two tiny tables that are squeezed in around the market. The tacos and guacamole were fantastic lunch snacks, but the lobster roll is a main event. (Sidenote: Thank God I didn’t just say the Maine event.) The ratio of lobster meat to binding ingredients to (buttered) bun were perfection but the citrus edge brought on by lemon juice cut into this decadent sandwich just enough to make you want more. More. MORE. The finishes in this space are so nautical yet chic and I can’t help but say it’s a mini Ordinary. I love that it’s across from the Harris Teeter for one-stop-two-shops grocery shopping, and frankly Ansonborough could use more fun stuff like this.
