Really, can anyone ever say enough good things about Poe's? Doubt it. It's obligatory for tourists, annual summer residents, and locals alike. There's nothing like coming off the beach at Sullivan's and walking up to the undoubtedly packed Poe's--but the open air charms and the food make you sit as long as it takes to get a spot and dive into that menu. Everyone loves the burger options and sides--and I really enjoy the butter bean burger which is often overlooked on the back of the menu. Poe's is an institution--not just for the story and history behind its origin but the food and the state of mind you're in when it's Poe's Time. It could make a Tuesday after work feel like you're on vacation.
