Santi's is the only Mexican restaurant that Austin, hailing from Tex-Mex land, would ever venture to while in Charleston. Situated on the up-and-coming northern tip of peninsular Charleston, it's got a more authentic menu (Mexican tacos are the recommended alternative--onion + cilantro only) and the margaritas, chips, salsa, guacamole, and killer everything just make this place a frequented spot for large groups. It's always a safe bet because you don't have to worry about waiting too long to snag a table because the turnover is so speedy, yet we seem to stay there for hours when we go. Last time I was there the guys got flan. Flan. I adore the tacos and enchiladas, even the soup is good. It's just such a great spot that even the snobbiest can appreciate.
