Since we were getting married downtown, Austin and I really wanted to find a way to share our beloved Old Village of Mount Pleasant with our guests. This neighborhood was where we first lived together, after all. It's got a huge chunk of my heart and the charm of it makes Austin lust over the Lowcountry when away. So we started researching the Old Village Post House, which I enjoy mostly because of its neighborhood feel and impeccable setting. We wanted the twinkle-lit courtyard for the whole dinner, but we ended up having an even better situation: the courtyard was where a cocktail hour took place, and then we all ventured upstairs in a private dining room for dinner. It was magical. I adore this restaurant and its quaint, quality character. Rehearsal dinner photos © Michael Parks.
