When focusing on making our house a home, I hate to pepper our interior with items that don't have any meaning or sentimentality behind them. If it isn't a family heirloom, it's most likely a treasure from somewhere we've visited. Otherwise if I have any choice at all, I'm going to spring for an older item that either has longevity in its original use or can be given new life via a reinvented purpose. This is why Round Top, Texas is an adapter re-user's dream. I've heard this for years, but finally got to experience its glory for the first time a couple weeks ago. Did I mention this small town, population of 90, happens to be a dream for a TON of people---who flock there annually and invade the tiny town that's covered in antique and architectural salvage vendors. It's been around for a while now, but popular shows like HGTV's Fixer Upper and features in Southern Living Magazine are making this spot a landmark in the South. Keep your eyes peeled for celebrities too! The scenic drive to Round Top is icing on the cake, and you don't even have to buy a thing to come home with an infinite number of design ideas.
