preservation :

i have degrees in art history & historic preservation and quickly found my heart and soul through this education in charleston. My love for the historic built environment became more clear and my desperate desire to save historic fabric led me to my first office job in my twenties. this job allowed full immersion into the outreach and education sides of preservation as well as project planning. After those five years I realized that no matter what I do, preservation is in my bones—it’s an inherent state of mind that seasons every line of work I dabble in.

photography :

My camera-holding days go back to grade school, and photography work began to fall in my lap in high school. Once I studied photography at the College of Charleston, most of my time was spent in the darkroom or photographing old buildings. Since then, I've focused on portraits, food culture, and architectural documentation.
